Material: Cardboard

Ever since Leonardo and Luca Pacioli, polytopes have been illustrated by their thickened edge frames. Omitting the faces permits a clear view through the structure, while preserving the essential information about the shape of its parts. When the solidity of the edges is given in perspective, the tapering of the edges strengthen the illusion of depth further by distinguishing the thicker parts nearer to the eye from the thinner ones farther away. The inclinations of the bounding facets can be further emphasized by coloring the faces having the same orientation to a matching hue, as if colored lights were shone at the solid from these directions.
Cube At Large

The sculpture looks like a regular 3D cube when viewed from any of the four vanishing points!
