"KOHTI KOLMIULOTTEISTA SOLMUORNAMENTIIKKAA"
Inspired by the compass constructions found in the traditional decorations of spinning wheels distaffs, I explored the geometric and topologic possibilities of knot ornaments in graphic and sculptural media.
I developed a game-like method for knot ornament production, a process which I also sought to share with others through the use of interactive puzzle tiles.
Using computer-aided design, I finally generalized my method to a sculptural form.
